Swami Sahajanand Tirth was born on 28th June 1928 in Komerapudi village, located in Guntur District, state Andhra Pradesh, India in a traditional and devotional family. He was devotional from his young age. He was the second son in the family and had formal high school education. He can read English and understand it clearly but cannot speak fluently. He can read, speak and write Telugu. In 1947-50 he had stayed in Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondichery at the lotus feet of Sri Aurobindo and at the same time he visited Sri Ramana Ashram in Thiruvannamalai and had an opportunity to stay with Sri Ramana Maharshi for a week. In 1953 he went to Himalayas and stayed in Swami Sivanand Ashram and spent 2 years there.

He got the introduction with His Holiness Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj and deeply became interested in Shaktipath and got initiation in 1972 along with Bhaskaranand (now known as Swami Bhaskaranand Tirth) at same time, since then he had done Sadhana living with his family. Sadguru Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj has blessed him with Sannyas initiation in the year 1982 at Narayankuti Sannyas Ashram, Dewas (Madhya Pradesh) India. He had continued his Sadhana and service for four years and lived in various Asharams of our lineage. He moved to Andhara Pradesh after 4 Years of his Sadhana at our lineage Ashrams.

His Holiness Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj has authorized him to give Shaktipath initiation 10 years back, since then he has given Shaktipat initiation to 10 disciples approximately.

He has published Shatipat Books in Telugu language for the first time and introduced Shaktipath lineage among Telugu community in Andhra Pradesh.
